Himalayan Pink Salt is a naturally occurring rock salt mined from the Khewra Salt Mine in Pakistan. Its distinctive pink colour comes from trace minerals like iron oxide. This salt is often used as a finishing salt to add a subtle, clean saltiness and a pop of colour to dishes.
Use it in cooking just like regular table salt, but be aware that its larger crystals may dissolve more slowly. It is also popular for creating salt crusts for baking, and for use in salt grinders. Store in a cool, dry place to prevent clumping.
